Katherine 'Susie' R. Holland
CANTON — July 26, 2008, Katherine
Holland's eyes were filled with the Glory of God as she was embraced by
her Savior and is now seated at the foot of Christ. Katherine, "Susie"
to friends and family, was led by Jesus Christ through a loving
marriage of 37 years and was blessed with two children and
grandchildren.
She worshiped at Clyde Church of God until she was
called by the Lord to come to his house of glory. As we all remember
Susie, we remember her light fades only to rise again. Even though her
spirit is with God her love remains with her family.
As she joins
her parents, Fred and Nettie May Rogers and loved ones, she leaves
behind her husband, Bobby Joe Holland Jr.; her daughter, Tracy, along
with her son-in-law, Travis, and their two children, Kyra and Emily;
her son, Matthew, and his wife, Jessica; brothers, Jimmy and Johnny;
and sisters, Jo Ann, Martha Jean, Linda and Dorothy.
A blessed
service remembering and honoring the life of "Susie" was held at 11
a.m. Tuesday at the Clyde Church of God with the Rev. Michael Nations
officiating.
The family received friends Monday at Crawford/Ray Funeral Home. Interment was in North Canton Community Cemetery.

To all my friends
Monday, December 17, 2007, 04:01 PM EST [General]
Please accept with no obligation, implied or implicit, my best wishes
for an environmentally conscious, socially responsible, low-stress,
non-addictive, gender-neutral celebration of the winter solstice
holiday, practiced within the most enjoyable traditions of the religious
persuasion of your choice, or secular practices of your choice, with
respect for the religious/secular persuasion and/or traditions of
others, or their choice not to practice religious or secular traditions
at all. I also wish you a fiscally successful, personally fulfilling and
medically uncomplicated recognition of the onset of the generally
accepted calendar year 2008, but not without due respect for the
calendars of choice of other cultures whose contributions to society
have helped make America great. Not to imply that America is necessarily
greater than any other country nor the only America in the Western
Hemisphere. Also, this wish is made without regard to the race, creed,
color, age, physical ability, religious faith or sexual preference of
the wishee.

Something to remember
Saturday, September 29, 2007, 09:58 AM EST [General]
The air is getting colder, and the sun less harsh. The time for remembrance is here. I find myself thinking of family that has gone, but also of fallen soldiers. Whether you protest the war, or don’t, being a former soldier that has done my share. The soldiers are only doing their part, as they are told. Some of them joined to support their families, some did not, but we all human, want the same things. So on this Samhain please say a prayer for the fallen ones.
Matthew
